A motorized 4' × 8' platform that mounts to your garage ceiling and lowers all the way to the floor on a remote. You load it standing up, press a button, and the whole thing goes back up out of the way — no ladder, no lifting bins over your head, no wrestling a heavy tote down from a rack.
This is the size that replaces a real chunk of garage: holiday storage, camping gear, tires, totes, the things that end up stacked against a wall because there is nowhere else for them.
Capacity — which one you need
- 400 lb — the mainstream choice. Bins, seasonal storage, camping and sports gear, luggage. If you are storing boxes and totes, this is the one.
- 600 lb — same 4' × 8' footprint, heavier motor and thicker cable. Worth the step up for tires and wheels, tool chests, heavy equipment cases, or if you simply do not want to think about the limit.

Before you buy — will it work in your garage?
Four things decide this. Check them now rather than after it arrives.
- Ceiling height. Standard residential garage ceilings of 8', 9' and 10' all work, provided there is clear space below and sound framing above. With 13' 6" of travel, cable length is not the limiting factor in a normal garage.
- Clear space. Auxx-Lift asks for a 5' × 9' clear area for the 4' × 8' platform — the platform footprint plus roughly six inches of clearance on every side. Nothing can sit in the path of its travel down: no garage door track, opener rail, lighting, or ductwork crossing it.
- Ceiling framing. The lift mounts on two 1-5/8" × 60" steel strut channels that span at least three joists across roughly a 5' × 5' area, secured with eight 5/16" × 4" lag bolts. Standard wood-framed joists are what this is designed for. If you have engineered trusses you are unsure about, a finished ceiling, or living space above the garage, talk to the manufacturer or a contractor before ordering.
- Power. A standard household outlet within 10 feet of the mounting position. No electrician needed if you have one; you will need one added if you do not.
What's in the box — boxes, plural
Platform, two motors, controller, wireless remote, two C-strut channels, and mounting hardware, shipped in three separate cartons: 71" × 5" × 13" (61 lb), 24" × 48" × 3" (44 lb), and 96" × 4" × 4" (28 lb) — about 133 lb in total. They do not always arrive on the same truck or the same day, so a partial delivery is normal. Wait for all three before assuming something is missing, and note that the longest carton is eight feet.
Shipping, returns, warranty and installation
Free shipping within the continental U.S., direct from the manufacturer by FedEx Ground, typically about a week. 60-day money-back guarantee on uninstalled units, with a 25% restocking fee on change-of-mind returns. Two-year warranty on parts.
Installation is not included and we do not install. Auxx-Lift handles installer referrals directly — call their customer service line at 805-798-0008 and they will connect you with an installer if they have one covering your city. Coverage is not guaranteed everywhere, and installation is quoted per job with no published rate. We do not select, vet, or supervise installers, and the two-year warranty covers parts only, not installation labor.
Inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt, and note any damage on the receipt before you sign. Full details on all of the above: Auxx-Lift Product Terms.
