A motorized platform that runs from your garage floor up through an opening in the attic floor, carrying up to 400 pounds at a time. It replaces the part of attic storage that actually hurts — climbing a ladder one-handed with a tote, and doing it twenty times.
When it is not in use the platform sits flush in the attic opening, so you get the floor space back.
Two sizes
- Standard — 20.75" × 44" platform. Requires a minimum 22.5" × 46.5" opening in the attic floor. Fits most standard storage totes. Platform weighs 26 lb empty.
- Max — 28.75" × 56" platform. Requires a minimum 30.5" × 58.5" opening. The one to pick for bulky items, large bins, or fewer trips. Platform weighs 37 lb empty.
Both carry the same 400 lb.

Before you buy — read this part
This product requires cutting an opening in your attic floor. There is no version of this installation that does not involve framing a hole and reinforcing the cut joists. That is the main reason people hire this one out rather than doing it themselves, and it is worth deciding which camp you are in before you order rather than after.
Also check:
- Ceiling height. Standard residential garage ceilings of 8', 9' and 10' all work, provided there is clear space below and sound framing above.
- Clear column. You need an unobstructed path from the garage floor to the attic opening — no garage door track, opener rail, ductwork, or light fixtures in the way.
- Attic clearance above the opening. Enough headroom and clear deck around the hole to load and unload safely.
- Ceiling framing. The lift mounts on two 1-5/8" × 60" steel strut channels spanning multiple joists, secured with eight 5/16" × 4" SPAX lag bolts. Standard wood framing is what it is built for. Engineered trusses, a finished ceiling, or living space above the garage all warrant a conversation with the manufacturer or a contractor first.
- Power. A standard outlet within 10 feet of the mounting position.
How it ships
In two separate cartons. Both sizes share a 71" × 5" × 13" carton at 61 lb holding the motors, controller and strut channels; the Max adds a 31" × 61" × 3" platform carton at 30 lb, and the Standard a 47" × 23" × 4" one. The boxes do not always arrive on the same truck or the same day, so a partial delivery is normal — wait for both before assuming something is missing. The long carton is just under six feet.
Shipping, returns, warranty and installation
Free shipping within the continental U.S., direct from the manufacturer by FedEx Ground, typically about a week. 60-day money-back guarantee on uninstalled units, with a 25% restocking fee on change-of-mind returns. Two-year warranty on parts.
Installation is not included and we do not install. Given that this one involves cutting and framing an opening in your ceiling, professional installation is worth serious consideration. Auxx-Lift handles installer referrals directly — call their customer service line at 805-798-0008 and they will connect you with an installer if they have one covering your city. Coverage is not guaranteed everywhere, and installation is quoted per job with no published rate. If this job depends on hiring it out, get that quote before you order. We do not select, vet, or supervise installers, and the two-year warranty covers parts only, not installation labor.
Inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt, and note any damage on the receipt before you sign. Full details: Auxx-Lift Product Terms.
