Will this work as a computer desk?

Honestly, no — and we would rather tell you before you order than after a 150 lb bench arrives.

The four drawers and two cabinets mount directly beneath the work surface and run the full width of the bench. There is no clear knee space, so an office chair will not pull up to it. The open area you can see in the photos sits below that storage, between the legs — useful for stowing things, not for your legs.

That is the point of the design. This is a bench you stand at, with every inch under the top turned into storage.

If you want something you can sit at, look at our 48" Adjustable Height Workbench instead. Same 48" width and a solid wood top, but the frame underneath is open apart from two shallow drawers, and the height adjusts from 28.3" to 38.1" across six levels — so it sits at normal desk height and raises to standing.
